Course Curriculum
In this Masterclass you will learn how to process stunning Milky Way Landscapes. You will learn how to produce noise-free images to reveal the fine details in your foreground and Milky Way. This Masterclass is designed for beginners as well as advanced photographers to produce Milky Way Landscapes.
Syllabus
- Intro to Astro-Landscape photography and in detail discussion on it.
- Introduction to Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), Understanding and learning tools of ACR and how to use for Astro-Landscape post processing. Along with the Photoshop Workspace Milky Way Single Exposure shot processing.
- Milky Way Stacking (Sequator for Windows user and Satry landscape Stacker for Mac user) and post-processing in Photoshop.
- Normal Star Trail post- processing using with Photoshop and StarStaX.
- Review and feedback class.
- Blue hour focus stacking and blending with Milky Way in Photoshop.
- Exposure Blending with Milky Way in Photoshop.
- Steel wool and light painting blending with Milky Way and Star Trail.
- Review and feedback class.
- Advance Milky Way post-processing technique
- Stitching and distortion correction of panorama in Photoshop.
- Advance Star Trail post-processing technique.
- Review and feedback class.
- Star Trail time-lapse with the help of Photoshop/Lightroom and Adobe Premier Pro.
- Milky Way time-lapse with the help of Photoshop/Lightroom and Adobe Premier Pro.

The timing of all sessions will be flexible based on the availability of both mentor and mentee. It will be mutually discussed and agreed upon before the session.
During this entire course, you will learn several software, those are Adobe Camera RAW, Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Premier Pro, Sequtor, Stary Landscape Stacker, StarStaX, and some Filters and Plugins.
These are vast software so please keep in mind that we’ll only be discussing only those parts of this software that are used to process Astro-Landscape images.

Prerequisites
- You will need any Adobe Photoshop CC installed on your computer, preferably not older than Photoshop CS6. Ideally Photoshop CC 2024.
- Additionally, you’ll need Lightroom Classic (preferably the latest version) and Stary Landscape Stacker for Mac. Don’t worry if you don’t have; we’ll help you.
- Your computer must be fast enough to handle large file.
- As this is an online class you must have fast internet.

Meet Your Instructor
Mrinmay Nayek
Photography Instructor
Mrinmay, who was appointed as a geography faculty member in a higher secondary school in Siliguri in 2011, initially traveled to Siliguri from his birthplace of the City of Joy in Kolkata. An expert in his profession, he has a postgraduate diploma in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems in addition to a master’s degree in Geography and Education.
After spending over a decade working in the academic sector, he decided to nurture his childhood passion for photography with ‘Exposure – The School of Photography’ in 2018. He devoted a lot of time and effort to learning the terms and technicalities of the art and applying them in practice. Mrinmay soon carved a niche for himself in the areas of Astro Landscape Photography and Street Photography.
In a span of just five years, alumni from ETSP’s very first batch have graduated to being a faculty himself in Exposure. Mrinmay’s work has been recognised and published in several National and International photography exhibitions. He has successfully conducted multiple workshops on Astro Landscape Photography for Exposure.
