Born and brought up in Malda, West Bengal, Avismita completed her post-grad degree in Geography from Calcutta, and post-completion of her studies, she took up a full-time job as a teacher in one of the leading schools.

Since she had a huge inclination towards photography, she decided to write about her journey and incepted her company in the year 2017. Being in the wedding photography industry for more than 6 years, she is trying to innovate her style of photography and incorporate concepts of the street and photojournalistic approach with the nuance of emotions and drama. Today, she is a full-fledged wedding photographer leaving behind her lavish teaching/ banking job. As a photographer and visual storyteller, she continues to find frames of different flavours amalgamated with feelings, sentiments, and emotional moments. Whenever she gets time from her busy schedule, she travels to refresh her soul enjoying the beautiful landscape of our country. She believes that the whole world around us is a frame, and we must keep our eyes and viewfinders wide open to capture the best of emotions and drama.

Her works have been published on many International and National Photography platforms including Natgeoyourshot, NatgeoTraveller, 500px, Better Photography magazine, Chiiz magazine.

She has also won several prestigious awards in her photography career including 1st Place at the International Photography Awards (IPA 2021- Event) & 2nd and 3rd Place at the IPA 2020, Tifa 2020 – Silver & Bronze. She was in the top 15 in the International Wedding Photographers of the year- 2021. She received back to back two Fearless photographers awards – 2021/22. Also, she got a runner-up WeddingSutra Photography Awards- 2021, runner up for SONY Better Photography Wedding Photographer of the Year 2020 (“Family & Friends”) and runner up in Emotion Category Better Photography Wedding Photographers of the Year 2018.
