ABOUT LADAKH
Ladakh, a union territory of India, forms the eastern part of the larger Kashmir region. It borders Tibet to the east, Himachal Pradesh to the south, Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-administered Gilgit-Baltistan to the west, and Xinjiang across the Karakoram Pass to the north. Spanning from the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram Range to the Great Himalayas, Ladakh is India’s highest plateau, with most of its area above 3,000 meters.
The region’s largest towns, Leh and Kargil, serve as district headquarters. Leh district includes the Indus, Shyok, and Nubra river valleys, where most settlements are located. Ladakh is sparsely populated, with a culture and history linked to Tibet. The Ladakh Range, averaging below 6,000 meters, has few peaks or passes below 5,000 meters. The Pangong Range runs parallel to it and includes heavily glaciated northern slopes. The Nubra region encompasses the valleys of the Shayok and Nubra rivers.
Embark on a nine-day photography photo tour that promises to elevate your skills in landscape, astro-landscape, golden hour, and blue hour photography. Set amidst the breathtaking vistas of the Ladakh, this specialized tour offers a unique opportunity to hone your craft while immersing yourself in the stunning natural beauty of the region. Meanwhile, as summer fully sets in by April, Ladakh experiences temperatures ranging between -5°C and 10°C.
